Reservations

In order to make a reservation, please email us to xujing@leadtravel.com or submit the reservation form.

Deposit

1. 1.  If you book a tour 35 days in advance of the scheduled departure date, a deposit of 10% of the total tour cost is required.  *Please note that this  deposit will count toward the full payment. 
2. 2.  If you book a tour within 35 days before the scheduled departure date, payment in full is required.

3. Cancellations

   We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your trip to China, however we realize that there are many valid reasons that this can happen.

   In the event of cancellation we will refund any payment made to Lead Travels (less any cancellation fee that is applicable) within 14 days of our receipt of your written cancellation request.

   When you cancel your trip, the cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:

   • For 35 days prior to departure date: 10% of the tour price will be assessed but may be applied as a credit for your next trip within the timeframe of 18 months.
   • For 15-34 days prior to departure date: 10% of tour price will be assessed and US$100/per person for the cancellation of the Yangtze River Cruise if applicable.
   • For 2-14 days prior to departure date: 20% of tour price will be assessed and the full cost of the Yangtze River Cruise if applicable.
   • For 0-2 days prior to departure date: no refunds will be given.
   • Special Notes For Yangtze River Cruise: The payment for the Yangtze River Cruise cannot be refunded if the cancellation notice is received less than 35 days prior to the date of the cruise.

   Tour participants must cancel their bookings by notifying Lead Travel in writing via mail or fax.

   After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

   Price Includes:

   1. Transportation:
      • Transportation services between tour cities in the itinerary including air fare, all airport taxes, trains, buses, etc
      • Local transportation services in every tour city
   2. Hotels in the itinerary, all based on two persons sharing one standard room
   3. Meals specified in the itinerary:
      • Western breakfast in hotels
      • Chinese lunch and dinner in local restaurants
   4. Sightseeing
      • All arrangements mentioned in the itinerary will be covered
      • All first admission/entrance fees in the itinerary
   5. Tour guide: In every tour city of China, each tour is conducted by a professional tour guide

   Free baggage allowance:
   • Passages holding adult-fare air tickets are entitled to free baggage allowance of 40kg for first class, 30kg for business class, and 20kg for economy class. No free baggage allowance is granted to infants
   • Free baggage transfer between airport and hotel
    Luggage Allowance Rules and Regulations
   1. Each passenger has a free baggage allowance of 15 kilograms, which includes checked baggage and carry-on baggage. An additional fee for overweight baggage is calculated as 1.5% of the economy class ticket fare per kilogram.
   2. Each passenger is allowed to take aboard one baggage only, weighing less than 5 kilograms with a volume not exceeding 20cmx30cmx40cm. Any overweight or oversize baggage should be checked.

   Price Excludes:

   1. Chinese visa
   2. International or domestic air tickets which are not listed in the itinerary.
   3. Meals not specified in the itinerary.
   4. Tips for guides and drivers
   5. Personal expenses: phone bills, laundry, optional tours, postage, excess baggage charge, entertainment fees out of the itinerary, etc
   6. Single room supplement
   7. Travel insurance

   Health

   Each tour participant must be responsible for the condition of his or her own health and must decide whether he or she is fit to travel.  Those with existing medical conditions must get approval from their doctor beforehand.  Spring Travel assumes no legal responsibility for participants' health problems. Travelers to Tibet are required to provide a doctor's certificate stating that he/she is fit to travel and his/her blood pressure and heart condition are normal. This is a necessary requirement because of the possible effects that the very high altitude may have.

   Luggage Allowance

   In accordance with regulations of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, free baggage allowance within China is 20 kg for economy class, 30 kg for business class, and 40 kg for first class, plus limited carry-on luggage. Excess baggage fees are the sole responsibility of the client. Regulations within China specify that all suitcases must have a locking device attached. Failure to follow this regulation may result in refusal by airport staff to load suitcases onto the aircraft.
   

   Insurance

   Lead Travel highly recommends that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from your country of origin.  If you are interested in more information on where you are able to buy travel insurance, please contact Lead Travel and we will be happy to assist you.

   Complaints and Claims

   If you feel unsatisfied in any way with the service that Lead Travel has provided on your tour, immediately notify your local tour guide or your travel advisor so that we can resolve the issue and avoid the potential for similar problems to recur during your trip.

   You must inform us by fax, email, or regular mail in writing within 14 days from the end of your tour in the event of a complaint or claim for compensation. Lead Travel will not be liable for any claims made later than 14 days after the completion of your tour.  Please attach any relevant receipts and/or substantiating evidence to the letter of claim.

4. Communications

   For general inquiries, more information, or to make a reservation, please contact Lead Travel via our web form from www.leadtravel.com, email, fax, or phone.  If for any reason you fail to receive any reply from Lead Travel in regard to your tour status within 24 hours from the time you submitted the request to book, modify, or cancel a tour, please contact Lead Travel Customer Service Center at cs@chinaspringtour.com or call us at 86-10-68293063 immediately to ensure that we are able to deal with your inquiry under the terms of our Terms and Conditions.

   Responsibilities:

   • Lead Travel is responsible for the implementation of tour arrangements on www.leadtravel.com including transportation, sightseeing, accommodations, and services from local suppliers.
   • Lead Travel is not responsible for any loss or expenses incurred due to delay or changes of schedule caused by weather, political situation, natural disaster, epidemics, war, criminal activities, or any other circumstances not in its control.  All such losses or expenses have to be borne and paid for by the group members jointly.  If the remainder of a tour schedule must be cancelled for any of the abovementioned reasons, unused charges for meals, accommodation, and entrance fees will be refunded on the basis of the tour fare.  Lead Travel reserves the right to alter or to adjust the itinerary in order to protect the interests of its clients.
   • Lead Travel is not responsible for the rejection of entry by immigration or customs officers, even if a tour participant holds a valid passport with proper visas.  Foreign officials and reporters may not join the Tibet tour.
   • Regarding safety and security when traveling, carriers, hotels, bus companies, and other suppliers are responsible for the resolution of any problems that may arise.  Lead Travel shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent or fraudulent, omissions, changes of itinerary, cancellation or the failure of any equipment operated by any suppliers.
   • Lead Travel reserves the right to substitute hotels, flights, or cruise ships, to alter itineraries, or to cancel the tour prior to departure.  If Lead Travel has cancelled any tour prior to the commencement of the tour, Lead Travel is liable for a full refund of the money received by Lead Travel.
   • Many of Lead Travel's tour packages include activities that require attention.  Such activities include boarding and going ashore from boats, climbing hills and entering and exiting tombs and caves, etc. You will receive help and advice from our representatives but all activities are undertaken at your own risk. ChinaSpringTour , its employees and agents cannot be responsible for any action or event that occurs after its said employees and agents have exercised their duty and taken the necessary care.
   • Lead Travel is not responsible for the theft or lost of any customer's valuables or items of personal property due to the negligence of the customer.
   • Each tour participant must hold a passport that is valid for at least 6 months.
